Betty Jo Moore Murphree, 83, loving wife, mother, grandmother and a homemaker, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Murphree graduated from Humes High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E.C. Moore and Elizabeth Moore Allen and her husband, Wesley William Murphree. She is survived by her daughters, Debra M. Wilson, Regina M. Robinson, Karen M. Hill and Connie M. Pfeiffer; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2014 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Hospital, Humane Society or the Arthritis Foundation.
