Southaven - BETTY J. PARKER, 81, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Baptist Desoto Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Jack" Parker. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Conner of Senatobia, MS, Renee Shanklin (Kendall) of Bartlett, TN; sister, Doris Matthews of Senatobia, MS; brothers, James Barmer of Horn Lake, MS, Billy Barmer of Southaven; grandchildren, Samantha and Jordan Shanklin; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and her church family at Southaven Church of God. The family will receive friends Monday, June 17 from 5-7 p.m. and service will be Tuesday, June 18 at 2 p.m. all at Forest Hill South Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
