Betty J. Scott, 82, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2013. She passed away peacefully in her daughter''s home on her family farm. Betty was born on December 17, 1930 in Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. A. Scott and a daughter, Lynn S. House. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bryant; son, Pete Scott; six grandchildren, Joshua Bryant, Candance Coleman, Layton Scott, Christine House, Wesley House, Whitney House and one great-grandchild, Jones Coleman. Graveside services will be 2 pm, Monday at Forest Hill Funeral Home-Midtown 901-775-0310
