Betty Louise Tate, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 3rd at Forest Hill East with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery. Mrs. Tate is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, James H. Tate; son, Michael William Tate and grandson, Andrew Logan Tate. She leaves two sons: Richard H. Tate of Memphis and Jimmy G. Tate (Mona) of Hickory Withe; two grandchildren, Adam R. Tate of Memphis and Lora Lee Phillips (Mason) of Ozark, MO; two great-grandchildren, James and Anna Phillips; also her sister-in-law, Norma Tate and nephew, Steve Tate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials are sent to: Fayette Academy Band, 15090 U. S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068 or Hickory Withe Baptist Church youth group.
