Beverly Fortune Corley, born August 13, 1934, in Lawrenceville, GA, went to meet the Lord on May 12, 2012. Her husband of 36 years, Herbert W. Corley, preceded her in death in 1991. Previous to moving to Cordova, she resided in Milan for 30 years. She was also preceded in death by brother, R.W. Fortune Jr., sisters, Betty Fortune and Donna Coan, parents Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Fortune, and stepson, Dick Corley. She is survived by brothers, Bill and Charles Fortune, both of Georgia; son, Chuck Corley of Missouri; daughters, Debbie Barham and Teresa Parham, both of Cordova, and Patti Harris of Chattanooga; stepchildren, Bill Corley of Texas and Joanne Stokes of Georgia. She leaves behind a loving legacy of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive guests Monday, May 14, at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, in Memphis, from 5-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
