Billy P. Aldridge, 83, passed away May 5, 2016 in Memphis, He was a loving father and grandfather who proudly served in the US Air Force and enjoyed always helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Carrie Miller Aldridge; two sisters, Mary Blaylock and Arlene Smith; and four brothers, Vernon Aldridge, Avon Aldridge, James Aldridge, and Robert Aldridge. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat; two sons, Ken and Jim and wife Shelly; and one daughter, Alicia Aldridge; five granddaughters and two grandsons; two sisters, Dixie Smith, Sarah Commander. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 until service begins at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC, 28607.
