Billy D. Thompson, 82, of Memphis, TN went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2015. Mr. Thompson was born in Bruce, MS. He served as a US Army Military Policeman stationed in Germany for two years and worked for over 40 years at Illinois Central Railroad. Billy leaves his wife, Eloise; two daughters, Lisa(Steve) Sloas and Teresa(Joe) Sorah; 5 grandchildren: Lindsay Sloas, Whitney(Morgan) Riddle, Stephen(Kelsey) Sloas, Josh (Lauren) Sorah, and Natalie Sorah; and two great-grandchildren: Clark Riddle and Lorelai Riddle. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Wednesday July 22, 2015 with a funeral at 10:00 Thursday morning July 23, 2015. Interment will follow with all services being held at Forest Hill, South on Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the COPD Foundation or Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.
