Billy R. Fell, 80, passed away on January 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lillian Fell; his mother, and father, Vela and E. B. Fell; one sister and two brothers. He leaves behind his three children, Billy Joe (Renee) Fell, Wanda (Roland) Lowry, and Lee (Lisa) Fell. He also leaves one brother, Elgen Fell, Jr. and three sisters, Pauline Von Blockman, Virginia Schulte and Betty Jane Marlar. He was "Pap" to 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. "Pap" was born and raised in Iuka, Mississippi, where he raised his family, was a preacher at First United Pentecostal Church, and ran the local MFA service station named "Fells Garage". After moving his family to Southaven in 1968, he worked as a mechanic at Bell South, where he retired. Billy was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a retired minister. He patiently and faithfully took care of his family with an unconditional love that is unmatched. His patience and giving nature were apparent. The Family would like to thank the Staff of Golden Living Care Center and North Mississippi Gentiva Hospice for all their loving care, and especially, Martha Taylor for her six years of constant care of our father, Billy. She took our place when we could not be there. We know that she made his stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We will always love and be grateful to her. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 9 at Forest Hill South, with visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
