Billy Glenn May, 86, of Lakeland, TN passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2023. Mr. May was born in Blytheville, AR. He served in the Naval Reserves from 1962-1966. He retired after 25 years from Memphis Commercial Appeal. He was owner of several Golf Businesses and  was a land developer, creating the beautiful Hernando Hills Country Club, along with several other high end subdivisions in Tennessee and Mississippi.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, IL and Earnestine May and a sister, Delores Anderson.

He leaves his wife of 64 years, Mary Jo May; his daughter, Alisa Jackson of Cordova, TN and son, Rondal May (Beth) of Lakeland, TN; two sisters, Phyllis Culp of Lakeland, TN, and Shirley Charlton of Punxsutawney, PA; one brother, Dallas May of Byhalia, MS; also four grandchildren, Jeremy Geddings, Joshua Geddings, Kaiti Schaefer and Conner May; great-grandchildren, Liam, Ella, Kai Geddings.
