Billy C . McDonald, 76, of Byhalia, MS passed away August 2nd at home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Sylacauga, Alabama to James and Queen McDonald. Following his service for the US Army, he worked for HB Fuller Co. for 44 years. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Peggy, the love of his life; his two daughters, Teresa Pierotti (Steve) of Collierville and Robin Mathis of Collierville; 3 granddaughters, Courtney Pierotti Farmer (Ryan) of KY; Stephanie Pierotti of TN and Jessica Mathis of TN; one great-grandson Greyson Farmer; as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends, including two very special people in his life he loved like his own daughters, April Chapman (Phillip) of AL and Amy Stanley of TN. He leaves his sister Jean Smith of AL; sister Bernice Thornton (James) of MS; brother James McDonald (Sandra) of TX; sister Gail Melton (Herbert) of MS; brother Terry Heagy (Wanda) of MS. He is preceded in death by his parents (James and Queen) and Frank and Lucille Sanders.
Bill married Peggy Clemens in March of 1960. They raised two wonderful daughters and opened their hearts and home to many children over the years. Bill loved country music, traveling with his family, camping and motorcycle rides on the trails. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love for his family. He enjoyed life and never missed an opportunity to laugh and smile.
Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery East Monday August 7th. Visitation at 9 AM with services to follow at 10 AM.
