Billy Michael Rigsby, 81, passed away at his home surrounded by love on Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Memphis, TN. He was born on October 21, 1941, to parents Lonnie and Brooksie Rigsby. After graduating high school, Billy enlisted in the Air Force where he ranked as an E4 and was a part of the Helicopter Rescue. He married the love of his life Billie Rigsby on October 09, 1969. It was more than fate that they met and fell in love and from that union 3 beautiful children were created. Billy worked as a Chief Engineer at Memphis Compress until retirement. Some of his interest included: watching the TN Vols play football, hunting, fishing, boating, bowling, playing horseshoe, playing cards, playing pool, going to the casino, as well as spending as much time as possible with his family, which he cherished the most! Billy is survived in love by his wife of 53 years: Billie Rigsby, his children: Keith, Kelly, Teresa, Laticia, and Dannette Alberson, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lonnie and Brooksie, as well as his son Kevin Rigsby, and great grandson William Ray Brown. Billy was loved beyond words, and he will forever be in our hearts.
