Birdye Lois Brown Fondren, 86, widow of Charles L. Fondren, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Smith and son-in-law Alan of Sardis, TN; two grandsons, Billy Keith Williams (Annette) of Cortez, CO; Brian Keith Williams of Bartlett, TN; two sisters-in-law, Janie Tindale of Greenwood, MS and Dean Fondren of Arlington, TN. She worked from 1951 for Bruce Carton Company which became Eastern Packaging and then Manville Forrest Products until 1990 when she retired. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m., Wednesday with services at 2 p.m., both at Forest Hill Funeral Home-East. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
