Bobby Joe Gray, 78, passed away in Memphis, TN on May 16, 2019.  Mr. Gray was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army and had been awarded the Purple Heart Medal.  He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  Mr. Gray was retired from RL Campbell Contracting where he had been a supervisor.   He was preceded in death by his parents Robbie and Minnie Gray, two brothers, Dyrle Gray and Myrle Gray, one sister Altie Beckworth.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years Maxine Jennings Gray, daughter, Teresa Coffey of Bartlett, TN, sons, Timothy (Mary) Gray of Arlington, TN, Todd Gray of Memphis, TN. Mr. Gray was blessed with eight grandchildren, Jessica Melton, Brent Gallegos, Sarah Gray, Joseph Gray, Kayla Fraine, Hannah Fraine, Kaylee Coffey, Max Gray and one great grandchild Kaleigh Melton. Visitation with his family will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm with funeral service following at 2:00 pm and military honors.  Forest Hill Funeral Home, East 901-382-1000
