Bobby Hill Hendren, age 89  of Memphis, TN went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 11, 2023, after a long illness.

Mr. Hendren was a US Military Veteran serving 31 years in the US Air Force and Tennessee Air National Guard. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation-Memphis. He also was a Former Member of: Epworth, Capleville and Raleigh United Methodist Churches in Memphis, Tennessee

Bobby was preceded in death by: his first wife Patricia Sanders Hendren; his father, Robert Hustler Hendren, and his mother, Birdie Hill Hendren; his sisters, Marguerite Hendren, Lucille Gibbs, Mildred O'Conner, and Inez Rodriguez; his brothers, Lynn Hendren  and Milton Hendren; also his step-son, Rick Payne.

He is survived by, his second wife, Joyce Payne Hendren; step daughters, Renee Martin (David) of Memphis, TN,  Robin Wynn (David) of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister-in-law,  Maryedgar Hendren of Roanoke, VA,  niece,  Marjie Hendren, and nephews, Rob Hendren (Chris) all of Roanoke, VA, and Joe Hendren (Kathy) of Collierville, TN.

Bobby (Uncle Pug to the family) was a kind, generous and gentle man with a strong Christian faith and an extraordinary sense of duty to his country. He loved spending time with his family and friends hearing and telling stories of family history and exploits. He was an avid fan of all sports especially the New York Yankees baseball team. During his first assignment with the Air Force, he was stationed in Brooklyn, New York, where a lifelong love of Yankee baseball was developed. Bobby will be sorely missed by those who knew him, but his love and kindness will never be forgotten.
