Bobby Joe Jumper was born September 19, 1942, to the parents of John C. Jumper and Emma H. Jumper in Union Count Mississippi in the City of New Albany. At a young age moved to Memphis, Tennessee,  where he attended Central High School of Memphis, graduating May of 1960.
Bobby was married to Peggy M. Jones of Memphis, Tennessee March 5, 1965, Peggy preceded him in death December 16, 2018.
Bobby was inducted into the US Army April 28, 1968, at the age of 26, while in the service of his country he received numerous decorations, medals, commendations, and citations including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Medal with 2 Stars. He was honorably discharged March 20, 1974. After his discharge from the Army Bobby worked as a local truck driver in the freight transportation industry where he supported his local Teamsters Union for 25 years.
Bobby retired in 1995 to Red Banks, Mississippi, where he passed away in his home with loved ones present February 7, 2024, at the age of 81.
