Bobby Everett Sturdivant, 83, of Memphis, TN passed peacefully in to Heaven on June 15, 2014, at his home after battling pancreatic cancer. The ninth child of Melvin Everett Sturdivant and Callie Roberts Sturdivant, Bobby was born on Nov. 18, 1930 in Calhoun County, MS. He was a faithful servant of St. Stephen United Methodist Church. Bobby was on the PPR and kitchen committee and served as an usher. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bobby retired from Malone and Hyde as a market manager. After retirement, he enjoyed working part time at High Point Grocery as a meat cutter. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. His grandchildren called him "Pappaw". Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Donna Bridges Sturdivant; four children, Terry (Linda), Barbara (Keith) Tucker, Glen, Charlie (Pam); seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 and the funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
