Bonnie June
Williams
Jun 1, 1945 — Oct 4, 2018

Our beloved "Gram", Bonnie June Williams, passed away at home on October 4, 2018. Bonnie was born in Joiner, Arkansas, on June 1, 1945 to Charles and Erma Felts. She was a graduate of Joiner High School and the University of Memphis.
She was the third of five children, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Elizabeth Pruitt Mayfield; sisters, Marilyn, Gail, Judy; and brother, Mike. She is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Williams; son, Charles Kevin Pruitt; daughter-in-law, Catherine Pruitt; grandchildren, Reese Pruitt, Connor Pruitt, Jarred Pruitt, Tyler Pruitt, Caitlin Griffith and Teagan Griffith; great-grandson, Ezekias Corpier; and sister, Linda Fong of Groves, TX.
Bonnie was a lifelong animal lover. She volunteered at Memphis Spay and Neuter and the Memphis Humane Society and was active in canine rescue. She also volunteered at St. Jude events, such as the St. Jude Run To End Childhood Cancer. Bonnie loved all things travel and visited many foreign countries and traveled extensively in the U.S.
She was an active member of First Methodist Church in downtown Memphis.
She was proud of and well loved by her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews, and made sure to connect with them and keep up with their lives, even though they are scattered across the country. She stayed in touch with her childhood roots and extended family all her life, and over the years was always there for the many reunions of family and friends in Arkansas.
Bonnie had a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. Her long career at as an RN and Director of Infection Control at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was a credit to her and to her entire family. She always had nothing but good to say about others and her sweet, joyful smile warmed the hearts of everyone she met.
She is sorely missed by all.
