Bready Franklin Furniss, Jr., 91 of Munford, died September 29, 2017 at Baptist Memphis. Bready was a WWII Navy veteran and retired from the Commercial Appeal after 32 years as a printer. He will be forever known as a wonderful husband, father and gifted craftsman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean B. Furniss, children; Maureen F. (Billy) Flake, Deborah F. (Tony) Birdsong, Rebecca F. (Mike) Davis, Kathy W. (Walter) Pyle, Steven (Cindy) Williams and Alan (Charlotte) Williams, 18 grand-children, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, siblings; Arthur Furniss, Peggy Massey and Kenneth Furniss. Visitation will be Monday, October 2, 2017 at Munford Baptist Church from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11:00am at Munford Baptist Church with Interment to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park-East. The family requests that in lieu of lowers a donation be made to the Munford Baptist Church or Disabled American Veterans.
