On April 2 3 , 20 22 , Bren da Boyuka Carlisle of Memphis , f ormerly of Horn Lake , MS passed away peacefully in her sleep . Brenda was born on February 14, 1946.

B renda was p receded in death by her h usband , George Carlisle , her parents Ruby Vernice and John Ward ell Bro wn , two sisters, Penny Person and Ruby Lynn Zellers , and a brothe r , Jody Lamar Brown .

S he is s urvived by her son , John Boyuka (Kathy) of Nolensville, TN and d aughter , Stephanie Boyuka DeSaix (Hank) of Me mphis , and two granddaughters , Jessic a Boyuka Chaliff (Greg) and Shelby Boyuka both of Germantown. S he als o leave s a b rother John Brown Jr. (Debby) of Coc k rum, MS and a sister, Renee Gray of Nesbit, MS and n ieces & ne phews: Fred die Person of Col dwater, MS , Todd Person (Susan) of Hernando, MS , Larry Ray Smith (Cher yl ) of Horn Lake , MS, Davi d Zellers of Batesville, MS , Kev in Brown (Sandra) of Hernando, MS , Ashle y Brown of Coc k rum, MS , Jes sica Desmond (Jason) of Nesbit , MS , Jordan Zellmer (Kurt) of Southaven, MS , and numerous gre at, and great-great nie ces and nephews .

Despite her large family , Brenda always made tim e for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. A f ter the death of he r mother , Brenda continued to host all of family holidays. She lov ed cooking for everyone and making people happy. Her famous coconut cake will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 5:00-7:00pm at For est Hill East (Whitten Rd) and a Gravesi d e servi ce will be Friday , April 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at For est Hill South (Holmes Rd )
