Brenda Joyce DeVaughn,79, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at her home where she lived with her daughter & son-in-law in

Burlison, Tennessee, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 12, 1946, to the late Charles Delbert Davis and Maurine Davis of Memphis, Tennessee.

Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, James Davis.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Kristi Billings (Kenneth) of Burlison, Tennessee; son, Greg DeVaughn (Paula) of Munford, Tennessee; sisters, Mary Stephens (Jeff) of Canton, Georgia, Tracey Angel of Ocala, Florida; brother, Don Davis (Becky) of Lakeland, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ashelynn Ray (Rob), Ryan DeVaughn (Brandi), Ben DeVaughn (Jordan), Jonah DeVaughn (Morgan), Courtney Hatton (Grant), Spencer May (Katelyn), Alex May, Morgan Billings, Lindsey Billings, Kyle Billings (Haley), Jaiden Billings (Cam), Ian Billings (Melanie); and 19 great-grands.

Raised in a military family she was able to see the world at a young age; her father, a Major in the Army, was stationed all over the country and overseas. After her father retired, the family moved back to TN where she finished her senior year at West Side High School in Frayser. She went on to college obtaining a teaching degree where she taught at Hammond Hills Baptist School for several years. Upon moving to Munford in ’78 with her then husband and children she changed careers to Banking/Finance retiring in 2014 from Raymond James as a Vice President of Fixed Income. She was a devoted and attentive mother who never missed a ball game, school event or activity involving her children. That same dedication continued with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No matter the occasion, you could count on seeing her in the stands cheering on those she loved. She cherished her family deeply and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. In her retirement years she spent a lot of time involved actively with her church groups and friends at Ridgeway Baptist in Memphis as well as life-long friends from Hammond Hills. Between church outings, trips, volunteering at various events and charities, luncheons and game days with friends she was always on the go. She was a giver by nature, touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for others.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
