Burton Owen Maness, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 2:50 am at his home in Memphis, TN.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Maness and Ruby Maness, three brothers, Wilburn Maness, Millard Maness, Alvie Maness. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Louise Maness, son, Roger Maness (Debbie), daughter, Donna Hayse (Ronnie), two brothers, Phillip Maness and Truman Maness. He had been blessed with six grandchildren, Jason Maness (Kelly), Anna Rivera (Kelvin), Rachel Gonsalves (Sandeep), Joshua Maness, Dorothy Maness, Tyler Hunt (Jess); great grandchildren, Diana Maness, Ava Maness and Dominic Gonsalves. He married his wonderful, loving wife Louise on February 2, 1954.  They have celebrated 65 years of a wonderful marriage. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a great husband, dad, and Pawpaw.  He retired as a diesel mechanic after working for International Harvester, Pat Salman and Sons and Gurley Oil Company.  He was a hard worker, great provider for his family, he loved to help people in any way he could.  He love God with his whole heart and always loved to talk on the Bible.  Anyone that knew him has heard this one liner "Listen to this one". Visitation with his family will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 1:00~2:00 pm with funeral service following at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. 901-382-1000
