Calvin G. Youngblood, 80, passed away Thursday, April 05, 2012 at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 9 at Forest Hill South with visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, South. Mr. Youngblood was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War, a retired Master Electrician and member of the IBEW Local Union 474, Al Chymia Shrine and Horn Lake Masonic Lodge. He attended Getwell Road United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ripple Youngblood; sisters: Opal, Annie Laura and Billie Jean; brothers: Roland, David and Eugene and a son-in-law, Mike Williams. Calvin leaves his wife of 56 years, Peggy Youngblood; four children: Ann Scott of Coldwater, Ruth Williams-Hooker (Barry) of Horn Lake, Barbara Bugg of Horn Lake and John Youngblood (Gina) of Memphis; two brothers, Sonny and Bobby Boydston; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to: Northwest MS Community College - Calvin G. Youngblood endowed scholarship or charity of the donor's choice.
