Cara Mae Moore McNair, ninety-one (91) of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on September 15, 2017.
She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-four (54) years, Kenneth Kelly McNair, Sr., her parents, Elmer and Estelle (Holloway) Moore, sister, Jacqueline Moore Meadows, and brothers, Lomax, Clifford, and Lanier Moore.
Cara''s life was one of service and love. Her priorities were to her family, followed by serving her community through her endless hours with the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Frayser, VA Hospital, and Easter Seals. She retired from Dollar General, and after retirement, worked as the Secretary of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Retirees Club. She is known by many for the lifetime of Sunday Dinners, where everyone was always welcome.
She is survived by sons, Ed and Kenneth McNair, daughter-in-law, Marsha. Grandchildren, Kris and Ronnie Smith, Marshelle and Mike Garrison, Lucas and Haley McNair. Great-grandchildren, Hayley and Taylor Garrison, Reagan and Blake Smith, Luke and Landen McNair, all of Memphis. Sisters, Virginia Elman and Willie Duncan, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. We will miss our beloved "Cara, Mother, Granny, Babe!"
