The family of Carlene Day is deeply saddened to share the news of her passing. Carlene was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She passed peacefully in her home with family on January 28, 2025, at the age of 82. Carlene was a pillar of strength and support for her family and took considerable pride in her home and children. Carlene cherished her role as grandmother, taking immense joy in spending time with her grandkids, creating countless memories for her family. She was known for her strong spirit and resilience. Despite facing polio, cancer and other obstacles throughout her life, Carlene always found a way to rise above, leaving a lasting impression of strength on all who knew her.

Carlene Day is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-five years, Otis Wayne Day; her children, David Day, Judy Adams, Denise Liebhaber; her grandchildren, Stephane Brown, Daniel Day, Thomas Adams, Zoe Daniel, Zadie Daniel and Noah Liebhaber; great grandchildren, Chase Moses, Sarah Moses, Jackson Brown, Isla Jane Brown and predeceased great grandchild, Kayla Ann Day. Carlene Day was born in Memphis, Tennessee to James Emory Pittman and Ruthie Mae Pinion (Bullock). She is survived by her siblings, Billy Pinion, Mary Crab and predeceased by Bonnie Morgan, Ina Mae Bond, Sonny Pittman, Barbra Pittman, and Richard Pittman.

A funeral service will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home – East on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin that same day at 12:30 pm. Please join the family in celebrating Carlene Day's life and legacy. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
