Carol Fussell Martinez, 69, of Eads, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She taught music at Central Academy of Music in Memphis and formerly worked for the Baptist Brotherhood. Carol more recently was an accounting clerk at WalMart. She also was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Martinez; her daughter, only eight days old, Laura Elizabeth and her parents, Guy and Esther Frances Fussell. She is survived by her son, Douglas Martinez; brother, Cladus Fussell; sister, Beth Fussell; nephew and his wife, Jason and Jasmine Fussell; and great nieces Cambridge and Canleigh Fussell. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13 until service begins at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following.
