Carolyn Broadway, 79, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 12, 2014 after lengthy health problems. She was born in Jackson, TN and raised by Minnie and John Ingram, and later moved to Memphis, TN. She leaves two adoring children, Alissa Holt of Memphis, and Steve Newman of Irving, TX, as well as two stepchildren, Donna Keel of Bartlett, TN and Ron Broadway of Atlanta, GA, whom she loved as her own. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Ashley Davis, Darla Keel, Rachel Kelley, and Elaine Elliott of Memphis, TN, Stephanie Newman of Irving, TX, Tina Hardgrove of Colfax, WA, and Tina Fenimore of Carrolton, TX; as well as, two great-grandchildren, Hailey Diane Sandoval of Irving, TX and Skylar Brooke Broadway of Atlanta, GA. Carolyn spent the greater part of her life being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from Federal Express, where she made and kept many wonderful friends. The memorial service for Carolyn Broadway will be held on Sunday, June 22, at Hope Church in the chapel located at 8500 Walnut Grove Rd, Cordova, TN 38018 in entrances 2 or 3. A reception will follow. The interment will be a private service in Forest Hill Cemetery on Elvis Presley Blvd. where her remains will be placed next to the love of her life, H. T. "Bubba" Broadway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
