Carolyn Yvonne Harris
Bartlett, TN
Age 76, was Born in Tiptonville to Ray and Allie Reynolds, both
whom preceded her in death, and she passed away peacefully on
December 16, 2016 in her home at Ave Maria. She was also
preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Joe Harris and her
grandson, Justin Mason. Before Alzheimers took her memory,
Carolyn enjoyed books, movies, shopping, music and dancing, eating
out with friends, taking care of stray cats that showed up at her
doorstep, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She
was a former member of Ardmore Baptist Church, a voracious
reader, and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed. She leaves
to mourn, her three daughters, Joanne Altizer (David) of Bartlett; Lisa
Young of Tampa; Susan Harris of Memphis; her grandchildren,
Jackie Mason Boehm of Memphis, Benjamin Huggins of Macon, GA,
Mitchell Martin of Memphis, Jon Altizer of Memphis; great
grandchildren, Joshua Brigman and Jenna Sword. She also leaves
three siblings, Ray Reynolds (Polly) of Bartlett, Brenda Claunch (Ted)
of Mt. Vernon, AR, and Betty Lucas (Danny) of Bartlett; and many
nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. The family will
honor her wishes to be cremated and will hold a memorial service for
her at Ave Maria after the holidays. In lieu of flowers, please send

to also extend our sincere appreciation of the compassion and caring
she was shown her last years by the many caregivers at Ave Maria.
