Carolyn Childs Hathcock, 70, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Carolyn was born on June 21, 1946 in Batesville, MS to George and Blondie Childs. She spent her career as an Officer in the Shelby County Sheriff''s Department in Memphis, TN. After retiring she moved to Heber Springs, AR. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Buddy" Hathcock; a brother, Bill Childs and her parents. She is survived by her nieces: Andrea Reid (Rusty) and Anita Holland (Mark); a sister in-law, Judy Nixon; her great-nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, Monday, April 24 at 10 am. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2 pm Tuesday, April 25 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
