Carolyn Henry 80, devoted wife to Mike Henry for 57 years and loving mother to sons: Mickey Henry (Lynda) of Memphis and Pat Henry of Duluth GA, passed away May 3, 2017 after a brief illness. She leaves a sister, Sylvia Dixon (Dann) of Ft. Worth, TX; a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Davis of Cordova, TN; and 6 special grand children: Lily, Sam, Cassie, Davis, Micah and John Patrick. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. T.V. Davis and 9 siblings. She pays tribute to her precious lifelong friends: Wilma Tate, Cindy and David Mashour and family of Memphis, and Claude and Faye Bowers of Collierville. Carolyn was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church for 32 years where she sang in the Sr. Adult Choir and volunteered in the Grace Building. She was a devoted member of the Family of Friends Sr. Life Group. Carolyn loved to cook for her family and friends, never met a stranger, and always had a happy smile for everyone she met. Visitation will be at the Pollard Chapel of Bellevue Baptist Church on Monday May 8th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services will follow at 1:00 pm with burial at Forest Hill East Cemetery. Any donations can be sent to the Bellevue Family of Friends Mission Fund.
