Carolyn Jean Hood, 72, of Southaven, MS, formerly of Cordova, TN, passed away after a short illness surrounded by her family on September 18, 2018 in Southaven, MS.  Mrs. Hood was born in Memphis, TN to Paul and Louise McLain.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie T. Hood, and one brother, Gary L. McLain, as well as her parents.  Left to cherish her memory are her children: one daughter, Pamela L. Hood and four sons, Phillip S. Hood, David B. Hood, Thomas D. Hood and Kelly W. White.  Mrs. Hood was blessed with eleven grandchildren.  She was retired from Kroger grocery.  Funeral service will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home, Midtown on Elvis Presley Blvd. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be at Forest Hill South Cemetery.
