Carolyn Brumbelow Jarrell died in Memphis, TN on January 6, 2021, at the age of 78. Carolyn was born on October 27, 1942, in American Fork, Utah, where she had fond memories of the snow-covered mountains. She spent most of her youth in Little Rock, AR, where she lived with her parents, Donna Lewis Brumbelow and Ernie Brumbelow.  They later moved to Memphis, TN where she graduated from Whitehaven High School. She married Emmett O. Jarrell on March 10, 1961, and became a devoted wife and mother, living in McComb, MS for a short time before moving to Southaven, MS and later building a home in Nesbit, MS.  She became a well-established Human Resource Manager for a major cellular company until her retirement. She was currently living with her daughter and son-in-law in Byhalia, MS, enjoying her favorite hobbies of gardening and reading. She was a member of Hernando United Methodist Church and the Byhalia Garden Club.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers (Jerald K. Grantham, Ronald Brumbelow).

She is survived by her children as follows: Steven E. Jarrell (Ann), E. Blake Jarrell (Tammy), and Donna D. Horne (Chuck). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Her surviving sibling is Gary Brumbelow (Karen) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
