Carolyn Jean
King
Nov 25, 1935 — Mar 14, 2019
Carolyn Jean King, "The Quilt Maker", was born on November 25 1935 and lived in Eaton TN. She married William Dan King in 1952, and moved to Memphis. After many years, they moved to Savannah, TN, and always loved being back in the small town near the lake. She went to be with the Lord on March 14 2019. She leaves her husband, William "Billy" Dan King, after recently celebrating their 67 th Wedding Anniversary on February 24 2019. She had two children, Walter Douglas King and Vickie (Jerry) Stafford. She was blessed to have four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and prayed that they each have a wonderful life full of love and happiness. She loved her parents, Minnie Edna (Duncan) King and Wesley William King, and took very good care of them until their deaths. My mother loved many things in life; she was a cheerleader in school, loved to roller skate and was on a bowling team. She loved taking trips, spending summers camping at the lake, sitting by fires, and fishing. She caught many a catfish, and loved being out on the boat. She had many talents: she was a hairdresser, a wonderful homemaker, and loved babysitting children in her home. She was always cooking, but mostly loved making pies and cakes. Her passion was sewing, crocheting, and doing crafts, and followed her mother's love of quilting. Known as "The Quilt Maker" by many, since over the years she quilted over 200 by hand. She coined the phrase "You're Sweet" and told this to everyone she met. She loved going to church and seeing her friends, at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Tishomingo, MS. The family has requested that family and friends join them for a visitaion on March 19, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. until her funeral service at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow in Trenton, Tennessee.
You are Sweet Jean and we all love you dearly!
