Carolyn Jane Rier Glenn, of Memphis passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Trinity Baptist Church Southaven, MS formally LaBelle Place Baptist Church Memphis, TN, where she served as the pianist and substitute organist for 25 years. Carolyn also served as pianist for Victory Singers at Trinity for a number of years. Carolyn was a wonderful piano teacher to many. She is a Charter Member of Twentieth Century Home & Garden Club, member of the Tennessee Branch (former President) life member of the International Order of the King''s Daughters & Sons, Llewellyn Circle, member of the DeShazo Pianist circle and served as Pianist for Community Bible Study for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Herbert F. Glenn, Jr. She leaves seven children: Frank Glenn of Memphis, Carolyn Gabrielle (Richey) of Gallatin, TN, Laurie Renfro (Mike) of Southaven, MS, Grace Glenn (Randy) of Metairie, LA, William Glenn (Debbie) of Collierville, TN, Jeff Glenn (Pepper) of Southaven, MS, and John Glenn (Connie) of Walls, MS; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Rier of Hernando, MS and John Rier of Jacksonville, OR. Visitation will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, with service immediately following at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill South Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
