Carroll Francis Harford "Chuck" died peacefully Tuesday morning September 30, 2014 at the age of 81. He is survived by Carolyn Harford, his loyal wife of 58 years, his sons Scott and Bruce Harford, his daughter in law, Jana and Jamie Harford and his beloved grandchildren; Randy, Tristan, Taylor, Matthew, Breanna, and Casey Harford. Chuck was born March 29, 1933 in Piper City, IL to Emory and Angie Harford. He will now join his 5 brothers and a sister: Marie, Raymond, Lloyd, Don, Wayne, and Mariam in heaven. He also had numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a graduate of Illinois Commercial College in Champaign, IL and he worked for Ralston Purina from 1956 to 1973 in Champaign, IL and then in Memphis, TN. He later worked for WR Grace Chemical in Peoria, IL, Baltimore, MD and finally Memphis, TN. He retired from WR Grace and was in Real Estate Sales for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his family and friends. He was also a "Die Hard" Chicago Cubs fan, who will continue to cheer "Go Cubbies". Memorial Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Road Memphis, TN 38133. Thursday October 9th at 6 pm. Visitation will be 5-6 pm. Please no flowers but give to St. Jude Children''s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105
