Cathy Allen Laster, 49, born August 5, 1963 in Memphis, TN, died March 2, 2013 at her home in Olive Branch, MS. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark, and her daughters, Lauren Laster of Washington, D.C., and Rachel Laster a student at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by her mother, Peggy Britt of Jonesboro, AR, father, Elton Allen (Gale) of Olive Branch, MS, sister Marci Lincoln (Jason) of Paragould, AR, and brother, Mike Allen (Christy) of Buford, GA. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS, and was a graduate of Union University in Jackson, TN, where she earned both bachelor''s and master''s degrees. Cathy was assistant principal at her alma mater, SBEC in Southaven, MS, and formerly taught at Briarcrest Christian in Memphis, TN. She is remembered professionally for her passion to educate and disciple children, and personally as a Godly wife, mother, and friend. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 4 with service at 2 p.m. Tuesday both at Broadway Baptist Church, 7400 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
