Obituary

Cecil "Bearcat" Clyde McGee, 83, of Hernando, MS passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at his home. He was a proud Marine Veteran and was decorated for his service in the Korean War. He was a Shriner with Lodge 617 in Horn Lake Wahabi Temple and a 30 year Teamster and drove for Roadway Express. His parents, Herman Monroe and Susan Elizabeth (Johnson) McGee preceded him in death, also his grandson, Gavin Wyatt McGee; one brother, Herman M. McGee Jr. and three sisters: Mary Katherine Bixler, Louise Henson and Amy Elizabeth Smith. Mr. McGee leaves four children: Brenda McGee Bell (Kenny) of Horn Lake, Billy McGee (Shelley) of Coldwater, Robert McGee of Horn Lake and John McGee (Cherie) of Southaven; three sisters: Jean Day, Alice Donham and Barbara Clifton; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, December 4 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
