Cecil Franklin Chaffin, 83, passed away at home on October 18, 2019, in Bartlett, TN. Mr. Chaffin was born in Sylacauga, AL. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL afterward he served his Country Honorably in the United States Navy and he retired from Delta Airlines. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Judith P. Chaffin. Left to honor and cherish his memories are his children, Keren D. Rainey (Mike) of Arlington, TN, Christopher F. Chaffin, and Tracey D. Chaffin both of Bartlett. Mr. Chaffin was blessed with eight grandchildren whom he was very proud of: Brittany, Brandon, and our angel in heaven Brianna, Anna, Dylan, Lindsey, Larry, Logan; also five great-grandchildren, Kadence, Reagan, Bristol, Brinley, and Kylie. His passion and hobbies were working with the model railroad train and visiting with his friends at the Model Railroad Club. He also enjoyed visiting with friends at numerous Hobby Shops. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 25 at Forest Hill Funeral Home- East in Memphis. The Funeral Service will be 10 AM on Monday, October 28 at Valhalla Funeral Home and Cemetery in Midfield, AL. Visitation will begin at 9 AM.
