Cecil Paul McElroy, 83, passed away September 22, 2023 at his residence in Memphis, TN. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School and Christian Brothers College. He was born June 09, 1940, to Raymond and Rose McElroy in Benton, KY. As a lifelong Mechanical Engineer, his career was spent with a number of well known companies, before retiring from Federal Express. He married Martha Hall in 1975, and with her three children they spent their lives in the Memphis area. They were married for forty-seven years when she preceded him in death. Also he was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind in love his three stepchildren: Dawn (Mike) Johnson of Hernando, MS, Tara Spaulding of Cordova, TN, and Rusty (Tammie) Wise of Tupelo, MS. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was a devoted gardener, bird watcher, and college football fan. He requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's research Hospital. Cecil will forever be in our hearts and we will miss him dearly.
