Cecil V. Swafford, 91, passed away on June 19, 2013 after a short illness. Mr. Swafford retired from Firestone after 37 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. His wife Ruth Swafford preceded him in death. She left two grandsons and a daughter in-law. He leaves his sister, Shirley Miller and also several nieces, nephews and many friends. Cecil was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church where the mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24 with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill East Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials are sent to St. James Catholic Church 4180 Leroy, Memphis 38108 or St. Jude Children''s Hospital.
