Charles Herbert "Herby" Anderson, age 68, of Lakeland TN, passed away due to complications after a brief illness on 5-31-20. He was Vice President of Bill Anderson and Associates Electrical Contractors. He was a loving husband to Phyllis, his wife of 49 years. He was a proud father to his daughter, Melissa Ann Anderson and devoted Bappaw to his only grandchild, Madisyn Nicole Downen. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Anderson and Margarie Harvey Anderson; two brothers, Jimmy Anderson and Russell Anderson; two sons, Joshua Shawn and Jason Scott Anderson. He is survived by two brothers, Bill (Ruth) Anderson and Joe (Margaret) Anderson; one sister, Debbie (Glenn) Raines; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. Herbert was born in Memphis, TN, and was a graduate from Frayser High School. Afterwards, he went to work with his brother, Bill Anderson, in the electrical contracting business. He was married to Phyllis, on June 4, and would have celebrated his 49th anniversary, this week. He enjoyed fishing on the Hatchie river and riding 3 wheelers in the Hatchie River Bottoms. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved to go to Pickwick and Lake Norfork in AR with his many friends. He was also an avid coin collector, and his favorite place to rest and relax was Gatlinburg, TN or Dollywood, in the Great Smoky Mountains. The funeral service will be performed by Phil Newberry at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020. Bill Anderson, Joe Anderson, Colin Anderson, Tate Anderson, Brad Campbell, and Wally Wages will be pallbearers at the service.
