Charles Edward Autry, 71, of Palestine, AR, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 21st, 2017, at the St. Bernard's Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Charles was born September 8th, 1946, in Holly Springs, MS, a graduate of Horn Lake, MS High School and he was a Second Degree Mason of the Shriners. He also honorably served his country in the USAF, serving 18 months of his enlistment in Libya during the Vietnam era. Charles retired after 30 years with Yellow Freight and had enjoyed nine years of retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed cooking and caring for his family and his two fur-babies Delilah and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.B. & Isabelle Autry of Southaven, MS; brother, Michael, of Southaven; son, Robert, of Horn Lake; and step-daughter, Tracy Brock, of Wynne, AR .Charles is survived by Phyllis Borden Autry, his loving wife of 33 years, of the home; his son, Charles Michael Autry, of Jonesboro, AR; daughter, Rhonda (Artie) Fiorito; grandchildren, Jared, of Walls, MS, also, grandchildren: Lauren, Chase and Cody Autry of Horn Lake, MS; one sister, Jane Miller of Southaven and brother, Jerry (Lisa) of Collierville, TN; stepson, Tim Brock (Mary) and grandchildren: Jenna & Austin Brock, & Thomas Long, of Wynne, AR; also numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives, who will miss him dearly. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26th at Forest Hill Funeral Home, South with service immediately following.
