Charles Joseph Bursi, Sr., 78, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, October 16, 2013 at his home in Millington, TN. He worked for Sonoco, Inc. as a mechanic for 33 years until his retirement in ''96. He was a long time member of Whitehaven Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Bursi and Lula Cunningham and brother, Bobby. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Alice Louise Carner Bursi of 34 years; two children, Charles J. Jr.; Tina Murchison; his brother Gerald and sister, Luci Jean Gonyaw; his four loving and devoted step-children, Robert Reisinger, Charles Reisinger; Mary Allen and Judy Boyd. He had an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at 10 am, Monday, October 21, followed by a memorial service at 11 am, both at Forest Hill Funeral Home-Midtown, 1661 S. Elvis Presley. In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts be made to Whitehaven Baptist Church, 4800 Elvis Presley Blvd in honor of Charles Bursi Sr.
