Charles E. Davis, Sr., 70, of Holly Springs, MS went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Landis and Edith Davis; brother, Danny Davis; sister, Patricia Whiteside; and sister, Shirley Jean Perry. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Karla Dawn Davis; daughter, Tanya L. Bartlett; son, Charles E. Davis, Jr.; grandson, Hunter M. Bartlett; brother, William F. Davis; and sisters: Mary Frances Pratt, Dorothy Sue Green, Brenda M. Colvin, and Kathy L. Stanley. Mr. Davis retired from Quality Ultra Print after forty-five years in the printing business. He was also a bus driver for DeSoto County Schools for seven years. He was a member of Wyatte Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS. Mr. Davis had many hobbies including his motorcycles and water skiing. A visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 from 11-12:30 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m.; both will be held at Wyatte Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, South on Holmes Road in Memphis.
