Charles V. Cavender (Junior), 92, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. Junior served three tours in World War II in the South Pacific. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged from the Army he moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he retired from the Ford Motor Company after 25 years of service. In his later years he lived with his niece in Germantown, Tennessee. Junior is survived by 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 1 granddaughter and several great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather to share memories 9-10 am, Wednesday, followed by services at 10 am. Both will be at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown, 1661 S. Elvis Presley Blvd.
