Charles R. Linville, Sr., 88, died at St. Francis Hospital - Bartlett after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Fay Elise Linville; his son, Charles R. Linville, Jr.; his daughter, Stephanie Webb Linville; granddaughter, Samantha N. Linville; and a brother, Harold Linville, Fredericksburg, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, James Charles and Lilly Linville, and sister, Daphine Keating. Mr. Linville served in the Army in Germany during WWII. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 40 years. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name may be sent to the charity of the donor''s choice; Trinity United Methodist Church; St. Jude''s or LeBonheur Children Hospitals. Graveside services will be at 2 pm, Monday, at Forest Hill Funeral Home-Midtown.
