Charles A. Loftiss, Jr., 83, of Olive Branch, Miss., passed away March 7, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital after a short illness. He was born December 24, 1933 to Charles A. Loftiss, Sr., and Louise Hatcher Loftiss, and was the oldest of their three children. He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, in Olive Branch, Miss., and a graduate of Whitehaven High School. He leaves three children, Gayle (Bennie) Holland of Oakland, Tenn., Neil Loftiss of Memphis and LuAnn Bonds of Olive Branch, Miss., two grandchildren, Cindy (Barrett) Webb of Arlington, Tenn., and Robert Bonds of Memphis, four great-grand children, Mitchell, Mason and Brayden Bonds and Thomas Webb, a host of friends and extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Moore Loftiss, his parents, his two siblings, and his first grandchild, Michael Thomas McEachran, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital in his memory.
