Charles McComas, Memphis, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the age of 101. Wife, Florence predeceased him in 2000. Charlie had a unique skill as a "spotter" at Happy Day Laundry and had been referred to as a "Time Machine" for his phenomenal memory of people, places and dates even until 101. He was the brother of Dixie Nan McComas Chaney and Bill McComas, both deceased. He is survived by his sons, Charles A. McComas of Medford, MA and David McComas of Memphis; and six grandchildren, Ashlea Montgomery, Memphis; Selena McComas, Medford; Anne McComas Front, Valley Village, CA; Albert McComas, New Orleans; David McComas, McAlexter, OK; and Anthony McComas, Chaparral, NM. There will be a private family ceremony.
