Charles Edward "Poola" Middleton Jr. was born September 4,1971, in Memphis, Tennessee to Charles Sr. and Katie Middleton.
The family relocated to the Chicago area when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Thornton Fractional High School in Lansing, IL where he played tennis and enjoyed making his classmates laugh as the "class clown".
He accepted Christ as young adult at Christian Tabernacle Church where he was baptized by the late Pastor Maceo L. Woods He later moved back to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to be closer to his family. He was employed as a utility worker at Central Woodwork in Collierville.
Las year he reaffirmed his faith we and joined New Zion MB Church under the leadership of Pastor Donald Collins. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and his dog Cane. Poola has been described by his family members as "that chill, laid back, go with the flow cousin."
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Charles "Jerry" Middleton and Katie "Rose" Middleton of Lynwood, Illinois; his sister and best friend Toya (Michael) Jones; his love and partner, Chequita Griggs; six children, Kaylin Middleton and Lauren Morgan of Phoenix, Arizona, Marques Holloway and Chakaylain Griggs of Lynwood, Illinois and Cortavious Parker and Chandler Parker of Memphis, TN; three stepchildren, Keosha Griggs, Kendarrius Griggs, and Kiereny Griggs of Memphis, TN; his nephew Brandon Middleton and his niece Arianna Pryor, eight grandchildren, a good friend Latessica Parker, and a hot of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
