Charles C. Murrell, died peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Oakland, TN on November 14, 1928. He served 39 years in the Army Reserve and retired from Delta Refinery. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Naomi Marinelli Murrell; his children, Chuck, David (Tracy), Stephanie Delisi, all of Memphis and Steve (Rachelle) of Park City, Utah. He had five grandchildren, Justin (Chelsey), Ethan, Abby, Charlie, Sidney and one great grandchild, Zeke. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at Forest Hill East with rosary stating at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 7 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Cordova. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of the donor''s choice.
