Charles P. Shelly, 73, passed away in Coldwater, MS, on October 31, 2018.  Mr. Shelly served in the United States Air Force and retired from being in aviation mechanics.  He assisted in leading a team to restore the "Memphis Belle" WWII B-52 bomber airplane and place her on Mud Island.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, and loved anything to do with the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and gardening.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Mary Shelly.  Left to cherish his memory are his two children:  daughter, Andrea Rodgers (Norman), and son, Charles Bradley "Brad" Shelly (Rowena), both of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his "sweetheart" Billie Rochelle; and two sisters, Brenda Joy Smith and Mary Sue Linton.  Mr. Shelly had been blessed with four granddaughters:  AnnaMarie Rodgers, Ashley Rodgers, Kaitlyn Rodgers and Brianna Shelly.  Visitation will be on Monday, November 5, 2018, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with his funeral service on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church on Church Rd. in Southaven, MS.   His family has requested memorial donations be given to Christ the King Catholic Church.
